The streets of Lucknow resonated with energy and enthusiasm as the Lucknow City Run 2026 transformed the city into a vibrant arena of fitness and inclusivity. Organised as part of Manfest–Varchasva 2026, the flagship annual festival of the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Lucknow, the event was built around the inspiring theme “Run for Inclusion,” emphasising the idea that fitness and well-being should be accessible to everyone.

Presented by Axis Bank and Samaj Kalyan Vibhag, and co-presented by Flipkart Minutes, with Kiran Foundation as the NGO partner, the Lucknow City Run promised and delivered a morning filled with positivity, community spirit and purpose. Students, working professionals, fitness enthusiasts and citizens from across the city came together, underscoring the power of collective participation in driving social change.

The event was held with the run being flagged off at 6:00 am from Gate No. 3, Lohia Park, Gomti River Front. Against the scenic backdrop of the riverfront, participants could choose between two categories: a 5-kilometre run, ideal for beginners and recreational runners, and a more challenging 10-kilometre run designed to test endurance and stamina. Volunteers, medical teams and route marshals ensured a smooth and safe experience for all runners.

Beyond the excitement of the run, the event also offered strong incentives. Participants competed for prizes worth ₹1 lakh, while certificates and medals were awarded to the top 100 finishers in each category. For many runners, the City Run marked a personal fitness milestone, while for others it served as a motivating and energising start to the day.

More than just a sporting event, the Lucknow City Run stood as a reflection of IIM Lucknow’s core values of leadership, resilience and community engagement. By integrating fitness with social responsibility, the event reinforced the importance of inclusivity, health and collective progress. As runners crossed the finish line amid cheers and applause, the message was clear: meaningful change begins when communities move forward together—one step at a time.
