47 companies raised 16152 crore from IPO in September, market tripled in eight months

New Delhi| 47 companies have raised Rs 16,152 crore from IPO in September due to tremendous enthusiasm from investors. Of this, 13 are listed on the main platform.

According to the data of the exchanges, in the 13 initial public issues i.e. IPOs, Bajaj Housing raised the maximum of Rs 6,560 crore and Premier Energies raised Rs 2,830 crore. 34 companies were small and medium i.e. SMEs. Of the 47 companies, 61 per cent have shares trading above the issue price. Travels & Rentals’ SME IPO leads with 283% profit. Premier Energies is in second place with 146 percent.

Enthusiastic participation of retail investors in IPOs has taken membership levels in SMEs to astonishing heights. The IPO market has grown three times in eight months of this year. There were 227 IPOs listed in this period. These raised $12.2 billion. A mere $4.3 billion was raised during the same period in 2023.
