46 candidates selected in UPSC from Abhyudaya Yojana, 121 became officers through UPPCS

Lucknow| Mukhyamantri Abhyudaya Yojana is proving to be a boon for the students of economically weaker and deprived sections of the state. Realizing his commitment towards Antyodaya, CM Yogi is turning the dream of poor children of becoming officers into reality. By availing the facility of free coaching through this scheme, till now 46 candidates have become officers by passing the Public Service Commission (UPSC) examination, while 121 candidates have become officers by passing the UPPCS examination.

So far, 82,209 candidates have received training from 156 centres operating in 75 districts of the State. About 700 of these candidates have been successful in various competitive examinations. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had launched the Mukhyamantri Abhyudaya Yojana on the occasion of Basant Panchami on 16 February 2021. This scheme is an important initiative towards empowering children from poor and deprived families by connecting them with the mainstream of society. Since its inception, this scheme has rapidly gained popularity among the candidates of competitive examination.

This visionary initiative of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is working to give a new direction to the students of deprived and poor sections of the state. Through this scheme, all the necessary resources are being provided to the students for free coaching, high quality education and preparation for competitive examinations. This scheme leads the students of the state towards a strong and bright future, and inspires them to become self-reliant.

The government spokesperson said that the UP government is successfully operating this scheme in 75 districts of the state, where 156 centers are operating. Mukhyamantri Abhyudaya Yojana is being implemented under the strict supervision of Uttar Pradesh Government. For its monitoring, a separate Abhyudaya Secretariat has been established in Lucknow, from where the entire system of operation of all these coaching centers is being maintained every day. In this, maximum number of 11 centers are operating in Lucknow, while 6 centers are being operated in Kaushambi, 5 in Gorakhpur, 4 in Varanasi and Bahraich.

Pawan Kumar Yadav, co-in-charge of Bhyudaya Yojana, said that through this scheme, training has been provided to more than 82,209 candidates so far. It is the result of the popularity of this scheme that since the year 2021 till now, an increase in the number of students has been recorded year after year. 6,000 candidates have enrolled in 2021-22, 25,380 candidates in 2022-23, 27,634 candidates in 2023-24, 23,195 candidatures so far in 2024-25.

Director of Social Welfare Department, Uttar Pradesh, Kumar Prashant said that Abhyudaya Yojana is an important and ambitious scheme of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Its main objective is to benefit those students of the state who cannot afford expensive coaching services due to financial constraints. He informed that under Mukhyamantri Abhyudaya Yojana, students will be given Civil Services (IAS, IPS,IRS), Provincial Civil Services (PCS), Joint Entrance Examination (JEE), National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET), National Defense Academy (NDA) and Free coaching is provided for preparation of various prestigious examinations like Combined Defense Services (CDS). One of the main goals of this initiative is to ensure that no talented student of the state is forced to give up his dreams due to economic constraints.

Under Mukhyamantri Abhyudaya Yojana, students are given coaching facilities in their own district. In this scheme, high quality syllabus, question bank and digital content are provided to the students. Apart from this, offline classes are also arranged when required.

In 2024-25, 10,510 candidates have registered in UPSC/UPPCS, 5,778 candidates in NEET, 2,033 candidates in JEE, 816 candidates in NDA/CDS and 4,060 candidates in other courses.

Through this scheme, 46 candidates have been selected in UPSC in just two years and 121 candidates have become officers through UPPSC in three years. Apart from this, 55 candidates are serving under the state government by succeeding in the examination of Lekhpal. Whereas in 2024, 86 candidates have achieved success in NEET and 35 in JEE. 1783 teachers have been empaneled for training at all the centers of the state, who are providing better training to the students according to their subject. Apart from this, senior officers working in the state also guide these candidates.
