2025 will be dedicated to national unity and good governance: CM Yogi

Lucknow| Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath discussed future programs and gave necessary guidelines in an important meeting with senior government level officials. During this, he said that the coming year 2025 is going to be very important. This year is to be celebrated as Tribal Pride Year on the occasion of 150th birth anniversary of Birsa Munda, then it is also the year of 150th birth anniversary of Iron Man Sardar Patel.

He said that while on one hand we will celebrate the Amrit Mahotsav of the adoption of the Constitution, on the other hand people are also to be made aware on the completion of 50 years of ‘Emergency’, the murder of democracy. The 300th birth anniversary of Lokmata Ahilyabai Holkar ji will also be celebrated this year. This year of 2025 is the birth centenary of former Prime Minister Revered Atal ji, so in this year we also have to fulfill the target of zero poverty. This entire year will be dedicated to the vision of Antyodaya, national unity and good governance. In view of these, events will be organized throughout the year.

CM Yogi said that on the beginning of ‘Amrit Mahotsav Year of the Constitution’ starting from 26 December 2024, oath of allegiance to the Constitution should be taken while reading the Preamble of the Constitution at the government level as well as in all government institutions, departments, offices, schools, universities in the capital Lucknow Competitions like essay and debate etc. should be organized in schools/colleges. Parliamentary Affairs Department will be its nodal department. The detailed action plan for the programs to be held throughout the year should be released as soon as possible.

He said in the meeting that people from all over the world will come to Prayagraj Mahakumbh. This is an opportunity for the world to know and understand India. A ‘Constitution Gallery’ based on the Indian Constitution should be prepared in Mahakumbh. Here the formation of the Constituent Assembly, discussions and the entire process of making the Constitution should be displayed through audio-visual medium. Under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the double engine government is working dedicatedly for the preservation of the culture of the tribal society and the welfare of the tribal society. Tribal Museum has also been established at Imilia Kodar in Balrampur, while two more museums are being established by the Government of India. In Mahakumbh, a special gallery should be built focusing on Lord Birsa Munda and the tribal culture of the state and the efforts of the government.

CM Yogi said that on the occasion of Atal ji’s birth centenary, Atal Research Chair and Good Governance Chair should be established in universities. Necessary action should be taken by the Higher Education Department. Similarly, the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Patel should be celebrated through diverse programs throughout the year encouraging national unity. Home Department will be its nodal department. The 300th birth anniversary of Lokmata Ahilyabai Holkar ji should be celebrated on a large scale in the entire state. The new generation should be introduced to how Ahilyabai ji revived the Indian cultural consciousness during the period of invaders. Essays, debates and seminars should also be organized in schools and colleges on the personality of Ahilyabai ji.
