Ayodhya| Preparations are going on in full swing for the eighth Deepotsav of Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh. Apart from the administrative camp, Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia University has also started work in this direction on war footing. This time Deepotsav is going to be special. In this, 150 tribals from Jharkhand are also arriving to light the lamp. These tribals will gather at the ghats as volunteers.

Deepotsav was started on Ram Ki Paidi in Ayodhya since 2017. Since then, new records are being set here every year through Deepotsav. In such a situation, this time Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced to light 25 lakh lamps, for which 28 lakh lamps will be laid on the banks along the banks of Saryu river. After the announcement by the Chief Minister, the work of decorating Ayodhya city has been started.

This time a plan has been made to include local citizens also on Ram Ki Paidi. For this, wide platform stairs are being built there, which is exactly like a stadium. This time, as the number of lamps increased, the number of ghats has been increased. It has been changed from 51 to 55. Chaudhary Charan Singh and Bhajan Sandhya Sthal and other ghats have been included for lighting lamps.

At the same time, 90 thousand liters of mustard oil is said to be used. As the number of lamps increases in Deepotsav, arrangements for cotton wicks have also started being made. It is said that 4 million cotton wicks will be used. Volunteers will start laying lamps on the ghats of Ram Ki Paidi from 25th October.

Deepotsav’s nodal officer Dr. SS Mishra said that our preparations are going on at a fast pace. This time Shri Ram is seated the sanctum sanctorum. For this reason Deepotsav will be celebrated in a more grand manner.
